Shut down
- Seacocks closed (leave cockpit drains open)
- Gas off at bottle & solenoid
- Shore power / battery isolators as required
- Fridge & instruments off
- Fuel & water topped up
- Fresh-water pump off
Secure & protect
- Mooring lines doubled & chafe-guarded
- Halyards tied off the mast (no slatting)
- Sail covers / sprayhood on or stowed
- Dinghy secured or stowed
- Valuables & papers ashore
- Bilge dry; auto pump & float switch on
